Origin: Manakara, Madagascar

Description: Our wild pepper, also known as “Voatsiperifery,” is a rare and sought-after spice. It is distinguished by its small berries and complex flavor, which is spicy, woody, and slightly lemony.

Seasonality: The harvest of wild pepper generally takes place from June to August. It is traditionally done, often under challenging conditions due to the height at which the pepper vines grow in the trees.

Harvesting Process: The harvest is carried out by hand by experienced pickers who climb the trees to reach the pepper vines. The berries are then sun-dried.

Uses: Our wild pepper is prized in gastronomy for its unique aroma. It is used to enhance refined dishes, sauces, and even desserts.
